EDGEMTech at SIDO Lyon 2025 – Exploring Innovation and Building New Connections
On September 17–18, 2025, EDGEMTech had the opportunity to participate for the first time in the SIDO Lyon event, one of Europe’s leading trade shows dedicated to IoT, AI, robotics, and embedded technologies.
As a company focused on embedded software engineering, this event was a natural fit for us. Still, it was our first direct experience at SIDO, and we were genuinely impressed by the scale, the quality of exhibitors, and the relevance of the topics covered throughout the show.

A rich ecosystem of innovation
From the moment we arrived, it was clear that SIDO is much more than just a tech fair... It’s a crossroads of innovation. The event brings together startups, SMEs, industrial leaders, and research actors all working at the cutting edge of connected and intelligent systems.
During the event, we had the chance to:
Explore new tools and platforms relevant to our daily challenges in embedded development
Meet with companies offering complementary technologies, opening the door to potential technical and strategic synergies
Participate in discussions that reinforced our vision of embedded software as a cornerstone of future industrial innovation
Meaningful Conversations and Promising Connections
Throughout the two days, we engaged in numerous productive conversations. These exchanges gave us the opportunity to talk about our work at EDGEMTech, but more importantly, to listen and learn from others tackling similar challenges.
Some of the most exciting moments were the conversations with companies developing specialized hardware platforms, real-time systems, or intelligent edge solutions. These are areas where EDGEMTech’s strengths in low-level system programming, bootloader/firmware work, and Linux BSP development can create high value.
We also met with organizations interested in collaboration or co-development, which aligns perfectly with our open and agile approach to engineering partnerships.
A Strong Alignment With Our Values
What stood out most during our time at SIDO was how aligned the event felt with EDGEMTech’s DNA:
A focus on deep technical expertise
A culture of collaboration and shared innovation
A genuine curiosity for pushing the boundaries of what embedded systems can do
These values drive everything we do, whether it’s solving low-level hardware issues, optimizing embedded Linux performance, or helping industrial clients bring intelligent products to life.
Looking Ahead
We left SIDO Lyon 2025 with fresh ideas, new contacts, and the strong feeling that we’ve only scratched the surface of what’s possible through future collaborations. It was a first participation, but certainly not the last.
We’d like to warmly thank the SIDO organizers for making such an event possible, and to all the people we met, thank you for your time, your insights, and your openness.
EDGEMTech is looking forward to turning many of these first conversations into lasting partnerships. If we didn’t get a chance to speak during the show, feel free to reach out, we’re always open to new connections.
EDGEMTech is committed to participating in more and more events dedicated to embedded systems, software, and innovation. If you’re interested in this field, we encourage you to follow us, whether on our blog, LinkedIn, or at upcoming industry events.
Stay connected! Great things are ahead.
